Cute Card Thursday- Challenge #3

People, as we had "All Creatures Great and Small" as our challenge last week, we think its only fair to have "People" as our theme this week. Any people image is fine, it could be Magnolias, Bellas, Nellies, Lolas or any others.

For this challenge ive made a birthday card for my friend Jeff. I've used a Sugar Nellie stamp, the letters are by Doodlebug and the stripe backing paper is from the Christmas Stack.. The greeting is from Craftwork Cards. Its finished with a blue brad and 3 little gems...

Have a wonderful day...

This is the card that i made to accompany some PIF Candy that ive sent Tracey. The PB Stamp is a image i recieved from Vicki -http://paperliciousoasis. The patterned paper is from The Brenda Walton Dollshouse Collection, ive had it ages but never used it. Ive also added a cream panel that i embossed using the Swiss Dots cuttlebug folder. I finished it using a Flutter Greeting from Craftwork Cards.

New Baby

I decided to make a new baby card for Nicola's Sketch #7

I've used a Sugar Nellie stamp "Baby Millie" for this card- i think she's so cute..... I mounted some Bazzill Bling pink cardstock onto a plain card and then the patterned paper i used is from Pebbles Inc. The image was also mounted onto the pink BB card. The little blossoms are Prima and each one has a little gem in the centre. The greeting is from Craftwork Cards and it has been finished off with some gems in the left corner.

1) Im the youngest of 3 children and was both a mummy's girl and a daddy's girl. I could do no wrong.

3) I was obsessed with the film Grease and used to watch it every day after school while pretending to be Sandy- i was hopelessly devoted.

4) I met my husband in our local shopping centre where i was working and he was taking kids portraits, i walked past wiggled my Levis bum- a moment he says he will never forget.

5) Even though i have 3 kids ive never experienced a contraction, my 1st two babies were early and born by emergency section so i had to have a third even though i had finally made it to full term.

6) When i was a baby my parents said i loved to listen to Rod Stewart and i got so embarrassed now i love him to bits and listen to him all the time.

7) I love reading fiction books by Irish authors such as Meave Binchy and Shelia Flannagan- but i have to read them in one sitting as i once i start i cant stop.

SBS9 March Sketch

I did it!!!!!!! After tea i got stuck into creating a card according to Gina SBS9 March Sketch. I absolutely loved the layout of this sketch until i realised i had nothing to cut out the 2 circles but alas no fear i got 2 glasses out of the cupboard drew around them and done my best at cutting them out so that is why they arent perfect but hey it was my first attempt. I used paper from The Spring Matstack and the greeting is a rub on from P INC. I added to little gems for a bit of bling. Im quite pleased with the overall result and hope Gina gives it her approval.

Gina at the Card Kabin

Just a little something...

I whipped this card up after my last post just because i wanted to have a play with my new goodies, as you can see ive used my new greetings and the heart ribbon brad. I love this Nellie image but im so useless at colouring in which is a big problem as i mainly use stamped images on my cards..lol.. I'll just have to keep on trying.
Love Noleen xx

Why I love the post man...

...He always brings me some lovely goodies. The top photo is some Wonder Words from Craftwork Cards- i just love these they are an absolute life saver as i dont own any greeting stamps these are the perfect finishing touch and can look great when chalked on or jazzed up with some gems....... The second photo is a stash of goodies i ordered from Artymiss- DCWV mat stack, heart brads, heart ribbon brads, ribbons and photo anchors. I had seen the little anchors used so many times and i finally tracked some down. Living in a small town in Northern Ireland there is only one very small craft shop that is rather expensive and doesnt stock all that i want so it means endless hours trailing the internet but its always worth it when the postie turns up...

Some of my latest cards

These two cards arent for anyone in particular, both are birthday cards suitable for friends. I do have quite a few birthdays coming up so hopefully they wont be sitting around for long.

Im thinking of using this card for my MIL birthday next month... not sure though. Ive used PB stamp, prima flowers attached with brads. Backing paper is from the Spring Stack and the greeting is from Craftwork Cards.

And finally this is the card i made for Keelan from me and his dad. The dinosaur is from Lili of The Valley, letters are by Doodlebug and the greeting is of course from Craftwork Cards. Thanks for looking
"The Birthday Boy"
Its hard to believe Keelan is 5 already it seems like yesterday when he came into the world. He is a real mummy's boy-he was born prematurely at 32weeks and has had a few little development poblems but he's a jolly little lad full of fun.

Keelan's 5th Birthday

Here are two cards i made for my son's 5th birthday last week. They were both made using the new Paper Nation decoupage images.

Hi to all Card Makers

Hi to all the mad card makers out there. Ive decided to set up this little blog as being at home all day with my little two year old Alex can get a bit lonely...Ive been dabbling at making cards now for a couple of years but im not nearly as good as most of you lot out there. I first started to show my efforts on the "Do Crafts" site but ive been reading the fabulous blogs of Michelle Short (Card Grotto) and Natalie Kennedy (Crafting Fun) and decided to have a go to. Please feel free to drop me a line any advice during these early days will be a great help.
